So I went to Rehoboth Beach Delaware for the 4th of July Weekend and although I am going to post about the trip this weekend, I wanted to do a quick other post real quick about something that was seriously popular at Rehoboth Beach Delaware that I saw on tv and never really thought of. Silly Bandz.
Silly Bandz are the brand new trend and craze, sort of like the Snuggie or like Poggs or like Beany Babies. Silly Bandz are rubber bands that are shaped like different animals, plants, sports symbols, statues, patriotic shapes and other shapes and can be stretched only to pop back into its original fun shape. You can use Silly Bands to not only replace a rubber band for closing chip bags (I got yelled at when I used silly bands this weekend to do that since we ran out of rubber bands) but many people at the beach were trading their patriotic silly bands that were shaped like the statue of liberty and liberty bell as well as military silly bands and wearing them like bracelets. When I was walking around downtown Rehoboth Beach it seemed like every store was selling Silly Bandz and no matter where you went it seemed like you could buy silly bandz.
I went to candy kitchen and you could buy silly bandz. I went to the book store and guess what, they had silly bandz on sale. I went to the drug store and they had a stand where you could buy silly bandz in a ton of shapes and colors and even the grocery stores had silly bands on sale. It was absolutely insane, but then again when you think about slap bracelets, jelly bracelets and other fashion trends or stupid toys that we all love Silly Bandz sort of just fit in and make complete sense. So what are Silly Bandz and how much do Silly Bandz Cost?
Silly Bandz are shaped rubber bands that come in a ton of fun colors and shapes. They were originally made for kids (read the package for age restrictions and never give them to a kid unless they have parental supervision with them) and I believe to even make using a rubber band more fun for an adult. What they are actually being used for though is an accessory as a bracelet and being traded or given to people that you think are cute. Although I thought silly bandz were stupid at first, I do have to admit that I did end up falling in love with them and by the end of the trip I was even wearing a couple of silly bandz…but I’ll never admit to it in person.
A package of silly bands can cost you anywhere from $3 to $9 and you can buy them in a ton of different quantities. You can buy silly bandz in animal shapes, tree shapes, light colors, dark colors, multi colors and even in patriotic shapes for American holidays. You can buy them just about anywhere but my choice is always amazon because you get a ton of price comparison and can also find a million different styles of silly bandz on sale so that is also why I am included links to silly bandz for sale on amazon…not to mention that if you click the link and buy them I’ll get credit for the sale and that is what helps to pay for this site staying active.
I fell in love with silly bandz by the end of my trip to Rehoboth beach and now am hooked. If you love them as well and want to buy silly bands or want to share them with your friends, click the amazon links to buy silly bandz or click the green tweet button to tweet this post out to all of your friends on twitter and feel free to leave a comment below. Thank you for reading and let me know how you like your silly bandz.
