Varla Jean Merman and Jackie Beat Do Broadway and Palin

Its been a while since I’ve posted any fun drag queen videos so I figured its about time to catch up and post a couple new ones that I haven’t seen before.  The reminder that I haven’t done any drag queen videos for a long time came because of a rumor I heard that they are making a sequel to my favorite movie, Girls will be girls starring Evie Harries, Varla Jean Merman and Coco Peru.  (How’s that for proper english and run-ons.)

This first video is of my favorite drag queen Varla Jean Merman.  We all know that Varla can sing Opera and has an amazing voice.  The thing that we didn’t know was that she can hit above a high C which is almost impossible.  Watch out Hugh, Varla may be coming to broadway to take over the leading lady in Phantom with this note, while wearing a Bernadette Peters Into the Woods Styled Gown!

But before we play the Varla Jean Merman’s magic flute video…I think we need to see Varla Jean Merman in her new Fleet Enema Video.  Yup, along with every other commercial jingle and video that we have seen from her in our Varla Jean Merman week, there is a brand new song out there dedicated to non other than Fleet Enemas.  Patti Lupone, eat your heart out, Varla’s coming to Anything Goes as well…and with Fleet, Gabriel won’t be the only thing that blows (sorry I had to).

Our next video is one from famous singer and song writer, Jackie Beat.  Not only is Jackie friends with celebrities like Margaret Cho, but she also loves to sing about other celebrities like Sarah Palin.  In this fabulous tribute to Sarah, Jackie helps to give her book Going Rouge a great big push……………….out the door.  Not only is this video by Jackie Beat fabulous, but it kicks all of the other Going Rouge Madonna Vogue spoofs butts.  Here is Jackie Beat Goin Rouge Sarah Palin Book tribute. I do have to warn you that the song doesn’t get good until after the first minute or first minute and a half but is worth watching regardless.   If you get a chance to see Jackie Beat in concert go.  Her shows are not only funny but she has just as much stage presence as Carol Channing or Barbara Streisand.
