Honeymoons in Gay New York City

Not only do I love to go to NYC, but NYC is absolutely one of the perfect places to go for a honeymoon vacation or to celebrate your engagement with all of your groomsmen, especially if you are a gay male couple getting married and an even better place to give them their fabulous cocktail or diva oriented groomsmen gifts.

Gay New York City is just absolutely amazing.  There is no other city like it no matter where you go.  You can take breathtaking views from Penthouses at the Plaza Hotel on Central Park.  Here are a couple of pictures that I took from our Penthouse vacation there last year.  My view of Central Park was absolutely incomparable and if the elevators weren’t enough with their insane design and elegance, the furniture in our $2,500 per night, two story with roof top patio suite at the Plaza New York City the furniture, the butler service and everything else makes you feel absolutely like royalty staying there.  I especially loved the detachable call button and lcd control screen for everything from the TV to the lights, the AC and all services from the Hotel.  That thing came in handy after a night out at The Ritz, Splash and Therapy.

Not only is Gay New York amazing because of the class, the hotels and the overall city, but it is also the home of Broadway and Broadway Musicals.  How perfect is your first day or

weekend as a married couple than looking over Central Park, going to an amazing lunch after a stroll through Central Park and then off to a perfect dinner at one of the worlds best restaurants and then to a world class show.  Then you have a couple drinks and head back to the penthouse suite to find champagne and chocolate and roses and your new Husband or Wife waiting waiting for you.  I love New York City and if you don’t want to do it with your friends to party, you can always do it for romance with your new husband and enjoy your gay honeymoon with your new husband and celebrate your gay marriage there with the one you love.

My Partner.com A Gay Social and Dating Site

My Partner Gay Social Media and Gay Dating Site

One thing that most people either love or hate about Summer is that it is one of those relationship or hang out with new friends and social seasons.  If you move to a new city or you are spending the Summer in a new city it becomes hard to meet people sometimes and can also be scary.

Many people are looking for more than a hookup, even though friends with benefits can sometimes be a good thing and they are tired of the same old chatrooms where you only meet people who pretend to be looking for friends but really want a one nighter or you only meet people of no quality.  This is why I stopped recommending most dating sites.  There is another option out there though for people who are looking for a real gay dating site where you have a better chance at finding someone of quality and someone who you can actually have a conversation with.  This site is called MyPartner.com.

MyPartner.com is a gay social networking site and one of the only gay dating sites that actually takes you and your interests into consideration.  I have had many conversations with the owner and the person behind the scenes at MyPartner.com, Patrick Perrine, and he is a master at his craft.

Patrick really believes that people can find true love when they are serious about it and that long term friendships and relationships can be developed by matching people based on real results and weighing them as to what is really important.  The most important thing though is to get people to answer honestly and when I had filled out my free profile at MyPartner.com I really enjoyed the way that Patrick has formed the questions and they really make you want to answer honestly.  Patrick found a way to not only help make people want to answer the personality and profile questions, in my opinion more honestly, but also help to create a network for Gay Men to socialize, meet each other and feel even more comfortable around each other.

MyPartner.com is one of those sites that you absolutely need to try out and if you are satisfied with the free membership, I highly recommend you sign up for at least a short term membership and really discover all of the benefits from a real gay dating site and gay social networking site for men.  Patrick has dedicated his life to helping gay men fall in love and find the right person for them and I know that if you sign up for a membership with MyPartner.com you’ll see why he has a talent for helping people fall in love and why his site is very different from other gay dating sites and social networking sites for gay men.  I love MyPartner.com and even though I am not going to say who I am on it, who knows, maybe one of you will end up being the perfect match for me one day.  =0).  Sign up for a free trial of MyPartner.com here and discover how Patrick can help you find your perfect match and fall in love.  Join MyPartner.com Gay Dating Site today.

net wt: 21 lbs 13 oz

So I’m on my diet and going crazy about not being able to eat things that I like, but then again no one said getting ready for beach season was an easy thing.  I’m also going to a couple parties where my ex’s will be there and I am certainly not going to let them up show me with being in shape while I am most certainly not.

Anyways, I went to the store and bought a ton of fruit to snack on and what I also learned is that even though you have fruit it doesn’t mean you are actually going to eat it.  Yup, the minute you start drinking the fruit goes out the door and the pizza and real food starts to come back in.  The problem though is that you don’t actually end up using the fruit so it ends up going bad and in honor of earth day the other day and not wasting food or fruit, I wanted to share a couple ideas of what you can do with your fruit, with fruit gift baskets and fruit gifts, especially from Harry and David or my new favorite fruit gift company, The Fruit Company.

So the first thing you can do with a fruit gift is the obvious, throw it out and change it in for chocolate…j/k.  But what you can do is go to the store and buy chocolate chips, or milk and dark chocolate chips as well as white chocolate chips and then get a double boiler to melt them down in.

One you have the chocolate melting in your double boiler or even two pots, you can look for how to make a double boiler on other sites and then what you do is slice the fruit into circles, slices, wedges or however you can eat it best and start dipping it in the chocolate.  Lay the chocolate dipped fruit on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper and then drizzle the lighter colors or darker colors of chocolate over the fruit slices and now you have chocolate dipped fruit to eat which in my opinion is a lot more fabulous than plain fruit after this diet.

Fruit Martinis.

Ok, so the issue with cocktails and then binge eating when you get drunk is a big one for many of us.  What I do instead of having to binge eat not, and to use up the fruit gift basket is to incorporate the fruit into my drinks.

I don’t do the ghetto pour vodka in a watermelon or over fruit salad thing but what I do do is make large circular slices of pears and mix it with absolute pear vodka and soda water for a lower calorie cocktail with a delicious fruit slice.  Not only does it help to keep me feeling full, but it also tastes amazing.  I also include pear slices in my lemon drop martinis and love apples in my chocolate martinis.  Bananas go great with Irish cream martinis and drinks and especially well with Kahlua based drinks.  Fruit and cocktails go hand in hand and for me help to keep me full so I don’t end up over eating when I am done drinking.

Fruit gift baskets are amazing gifts, but the fruit can also become a pain in the ass, especially if you don’t want to eat it all or waste it.  You can use these ideas to make your fruit more fun to eat, but also incorporate it into fun things like martinis so that you not only use it so you don’t have to waste it and feel guilty, but also help to keep yourself from over eating at night helping you to save calories as well.  If you have more fruit ideas for fruit gift baskets, feel free to leave them in the comments section below.

If you want to order or send someone a fruit gift basket, then click this link and visit the fruit company for amazing deals on fabulous fruit gift baskets.

Hannahs Caramen Apples – Holy Crap Yum

Caramel Apple with Toffee – $ 7.50
Caramel Apple with Toffee

Although I love the Summer and absolutely love Summer wear, the one thing I hate is that Summer time and beach season also means we all have to start watching what we eat and stop enjoying most of the junk food we love all winter long.

Not only do we all start to justify chocolate by putting it on fruit or by pretending like we are actually going to work it off with an extra hour at the gym, but as we get older, well I always stay the same age or decrease every couple years, it becomes even harder to have that will power and much harder to get the winter weight off.  What also doesn’t help is when I find new gift Merchants like Hannah’s Caramel Apples.

Now I do have to be honest with you all, I have not ever actually had or ordered a Hannah’s Caramel Apple but I have seen the owner of the company posting in a forum that I visit and it was a paid ad so I feel mostly confident that they are fully legit.  I also really like the story behind Hannah’s Caramel Apples and I think when I first learned about them I had emailed back and forth with them a few times.  Regardless though, I do believe they are legit and although sometimes things look like they are to good to be true or taste as good as they look, it is seriously hard to mess up a candy or caramel apple and when I saw the candy mixed and amazing flavor combinations of candy apples at Hannah’s Caramel Apples I could not resist sharing three of many of their designs.

Not only does Hannahs Caramel Apples feature a ton of amazing flavors and designs, they also have caramel and candy apple gifts and a ton of chocolate apple gifts for all occasions.

Unfortunately, in my opinions, these caramel and candy apples are definitely not beach season friendly, they do look amazing and as long as they select a high quality apple for the apple inside, they should taste amazing as well.  I guess it also depends on the chocolate, caramel, etc… as well but then again, it is seriously hard to mess up a caramel apple and these look absolutely perfect and amazing.  You can order your own caramel apples or candy apples and candy apple gifts from Hannahs Caramel Apples here.  If you do decide to order and buy one or one hundred, come back and share with us how they were.

Cherry Wood Humidor – Gifts for Father of the Bride or Groom

Personalized Cherry Wood Humidor – $ 50.99
“Every sophisticated man will want this personalized cherry wood humidor. Makes an elegant groomsmen gift or unforgettable present for a special man in your life. Holds up to 12 cigars and measures 8 1/2″” x 5 1/2″” x 2 1/2″”.”

When I was looking through my product catalogs for gifts for my Dad, I was remembering when I was younger and one of my favorite memories was lighting or cutting my Dad’s Cigars.  Although he would never let me actually smoke one, he would sometimes give me an unlit one to hold and pretend to smoke so I could feel grown up like him and also because it was a bonding thing for us.  Cigar smoking is a bonding activity and cigars are something many people use to celebrate.

People buy cigars to celebrate a baby being born, a wedding announcement, a bachelor party, an anniversary, a guys night out, a Vegas trip and pretty much anything that is fun and festive.  People don’t always associate cigars with cancer or smelling horrible, especially the cheap ones, but they associate it with class, fun and bonding with one another.  Cigars are an amazing way to not only create long lasting memories and bond with a heterosexual male, or a lesbian, and if you want to take cigar smoking or have a cigar aficionado or someone who just enjoys one every once in a while, you can go above and beyond giving them a zippo or pack of cigars and give them a humidor and if you really want to go above and beyond what you need to, fill the humidor up with high end or a mixed assortment of cigars and a cutter.  When I was looking for a gift for my Dad, although he actually quit smoking cigars and doesn’t keep any in his house, I saw the cherrywood cigar humidor pictured above and immediately thought of him.

One of my favorite memories of being a kid was hanging out with him and talking while he smoked a cigar.  I remember the smell, the way it puffed and how cool and mature he looked smoking.  Although I know it is bad for you and can kill you, back then it was one of the coolest things on earth and since we were never close or had bonding time, I always remember these evenings and still hold on to those memories today.

Although I am opposed to smoking now a days, I used to be a smoker, I do have to admit, on a special occasion I will probably have a cigar.  One of those occasions will be if I get married.

Not only will I probably have to get stuck with a Waspy or Firey Latino Father in Law, but I’ll have to do something important to impress him, especially if he is anti gay or ends up being one of those, no one is good enough for my kid Father in Laws.  You all know the kind I am talking about.  The nightmare kind you always see in wedding movies where they are never satisfied and make the Groom’s life hell.  Chances are that I will probably get stuck with one of these types of Father in Laws and one of the ways I am going to try and break him in is by bringing over a nice wooden humidor, even maybe one that isn’t overpriced but still looks classy like the cherrywood humidor above, fill it with a large assortment of nice cigars (the assortment is so I can almost ensure there will be one he likes) and also pair it with a bottle of scotch or brandy, depending on what my Partner would say his Dad prefers.

I love Cherrywood and Mahogony and a Cherrywood or Mahogony Humidor to me screams class and even if you don’t smoke or your Father in Law doesn’t smoke, Humidors still make great gifts for the Father of the Bride or gifts for the Father of the Groom.  Humidors can be used for storage, to hide things from his Wife, to store pictures or pretty much anything else that you wouldn’t want people to find.

I love the idea of giving a humidor for a gift and think that it makes a perfect gift for the Father of the Bride or the Father of the Groom to not only bond with him but show him you can be thoughtful and you made an effort to win him over.  Again, I am opposed to smoking, but I think that a cigar to bond with your future Father in Law is a perfect gift and way to build a relationship with him as well as show him you have some class and made an effort.  You may want to do a quick check with your Partner first though just to double check and make sure he was never addict as that could actually be a bad thing and you may want to rethink giving him a humidor for a gift to bond with him.  Anyways, order your cherrywood humidor here.

Cosmos for a Cure – Breast Cancer Cosmo Findraiser

One thing that many people have noticed in the last few years is a huge separation between gay men and women and lesbians.  It seems like everyone is distancing themselves, bars are going men only or women only, etc…   It is sort of sad that there is a separation but at the same time it is nice to be in a gay bar and not have straight girls say, why do you have to be gay, can we make out, it’s so nice to not be hit on, and be treated like a human, not an anomaly.  The other thing that is changing is that not all gay charities are about AIDS anymore.  Although there is a huge battle to be fought with HIV AIDS and that is the first and foremost cause I fight for, then Animal Shelters and Abuse and then Breast Cancer.

A couple years ago I walked in the Susan G Komen 60 mile 3 day breast cancer walk and breast cancer research took on a whole new meaning.  Anyways, with that said, I got an invite from a gay male friend who decided that instead of doing an AIDS fundraiser, he was putting on a fundraiser for Breast Cancer research.  Because I thought it was awesome that he crossed a line and decided to do something great for women and not just lesbian women, as well as men since breast cancer can attack men to, I wanted to post the event here and invite anyone in DC to attend his Cosmos for a Cure Breast Cancer Research Fundraising event.

Not only do I love the name Cosmos for a Cure but how could you not love having a social event about Boobies, Babes and Pink Drinks for Breast Cancer.  If you’re in Washington DC this Thursday and want to have a Pink Cosmo and help raise some money to fight Breat Cancer, show up to the event.  This is sure to be a fabulous time.
This Thursday (April 22, 2010) from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Lima Restaurant and Lounge is hosting a happy hour to support breast cancer research. As part of the course requirements for my leadership class (last semester!!!), I am organizing the event, “Cosmos for the Cure,” and encourage each of you to stop in, drink pink and raise a glass in support those who are battling breast cancer. Proceeds from the event will go to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer Research.

The obligation is minimal. A $10 donation is requested (not required) and also we’ve arranged for a special pink cosmo that will benefit this important cause.

Lima Lounge is located at 1401 K Street and in close proximity to the McPherson metro station on the blue and orange lines.

Please tell your friends and come support the event.

Gay Copenhagen Denmark – Gay Bars Copenhagen Denmark

So I went to Europe for work and had to see what the gay nightlife was like out there for you all.  I used to live in Spain and went on a bunch of Mediterranean cruises, but when you are cruising you don’t really get to go to all the clubs, restaurants, etc… and because I didn’t have this site when I lived in Madrid, I don’t want to recommend a bunch of places that may not be there anymore.

Anyways, when I think of Denmark and Scandinavia, I really didn’t think of it being progressive.  Holy crap was I wrong!

Not only do they have Europe’s oldest gay bar, but gay marriage isn’t even considered or thought of as anything out of the ordinary.   They are so used to gays getting married and having rights that no one even thinks of it.  The same goes with Sweden and I am pretty sure the rest of the Scandinavian countries as well.  Not only was I shocked at how friendly the people in Denmark were and accepting they were of gay people, especially for an extremely religious Country (either Christian or Catholic because I know Easter is huge there), but I am ready to tell everyone who wants to see what a gay friendly and gay marriage friendly country is like to just go spend one day in Denmark and one day in Sweden.  You will never see it the same again.

Anyways, on to Gay Copenhagen Denmark and Copenhagen Denmark Gay Bars.

So the day started out with me walking around the city.  There is some amazing architecture there and some seriously gorgeous old buildings.  Once you leave the train station you’ll see some huge spires to the left, if you walk towards them you will be heading to the gay part of the city (The whole city was walkable for me so don’t worry about renting a car, a bike wouldn’t be a bad idea though).

After walking around for a couple hours I decided it was time to get a drink…btw if you want to eat in Denmark, go for a hot dog, oddly enough I saw more hot dog stands in Denmark than I had on any trip to NYC and I have been to NY way to many times.  They love their hot dogs like gay men love their sausages….ohh ya, I went there.

So I walked around and instead of doing a Google search for Gay Bars Copenhagen Denmark, I decided to walk the gay area (btw there are no pride flags hanging so it may be difficult to tell where they are and if you are in the right area, but if you find one and get a map, everything will be seriously easy).  After walking for maybe 30 minutes I finally found one that had to be gay.

Bar 7

Bar 7 in Copenhagen Denmark is located at the very end of the main gay street.  It has a large sign hanging in front of it and is a basement styled club.  When I looked through the window towards the far side of the front wall I saw purple and white sequined pillows and two well dressed and in shape guys with bleached hair drinking cocktails and chatting.  I then walked by the door and heard some pretty fabulous house music coming from inside and two bartenders in tight black tshirts so I knew I was at the right place.

I sat down and saw all the guys drinking some really cool looking mixed drinks and the girls drinking beer from the tap so I knew I found the perfect place to find out what bars were going to be fun for the night.

Bar 7 is decorated kind of like alternative crazy coffee shop gone club gone gay bar.  My favorite part was the lower level dance floor where they have a grand piano that is carved out and the top was replaced with glass and inside is an entire DJ booth with turntables, mixers, etc…  The bathroom area is completely done in glam and there are book cases with actual books and random paintings everywhere.

When I went back to my bar stool I still hadn’t had the guts to ask anyone which bars would be fun for the night, but when I saw this really queeny guy walk outside to have a cigarette I followed him because when in doubt, ask a queen.

It turned out that not only did he think it was hilarious that I thought he was gay, but that I also thought Bar 7 was a gay bar.  Apparently the gays in Copenhagen dress down and the straight men dress up.  It was absolutely hilarious and completely remained true throughout the night.  He got a good laugh out of it and then showed me how to find the gay bars.

Jailhouse.

Jailhouse is a small basement bar underneath a sign that says S&M.  It is both male and female friendly and has an amazing bar staff that not only dresses like cops, but is overly friendly and extremely attentive.  They serve these really tastey and slightly spicy chips with your drinks and the crowd is seriously attentive.

Although Jailhouse is technically a fetish and leather bar, they also feature a decent restaurant with proper servers and decent food.  All you do is walk through the bar to the back, go up the staircase and you are all of the sudden in a regular looking restaurant instead of a bar themed like a jail.

The music is house and trendy and fun.  The drinks are probably the cheapest in Denmark and because of the great service and friendly customers, Jailhouse gets 4 out of 5 stars on the must visit gay bars in Copenhagen Denmark.

CentralHornet.

CentralHornet is the oldest gay bar in Europe.  It has been opened as an actual gay bar for 94 years and is still running strong.  CentralHornet is a few blocks away from most of the major gay bars in Copenhagen Denmark but definitely worth the trip just for the history alone.

The bar service there is great and the drinks are huge, especially the beers.  The bathrooms are kind of odd since they are unisex and the crowd is really not that friendly.  They seem like the type of people who would steal your wallet if you left it out.  The pictures on the wall are kind of cool because they go back pretty far and I got to see it decorated for Easter which was also pretty cool.

Because it is the oldest gay bar in Europe and you have to think about the fact that it opened as a gay bar in the 1920′s or 1930′s I think, it is a must have to see 5 out of 5 stars.  If it wasn’t the oldest gay bar in Europe, it probably would have gotten a 2 or 3 stars, but hey you cannot mess with something that has lasted almost 100 years…unless its in drag.

Masken Bar

Masken Bar is Copenhagen’s idea of a Twink Bar.  It is for college age gay guys and for a nice change, no creepy old guys standing in the corner staring.  I’m not really into the twink scene but this was one of the larger drinking bars that I went into in Copenhagen Denmark for the gay bars.

It is two stories and the bar staff is ok but not really anything special.  The crowd was all twinks and it was fairly cliquish but still friendly.  Overall I’m not really into the Twink scene and I don’t go after the Twinks so it really wasn’t my scene.  For me it gets a 2 out of 5 stars but if you are all about the Twinks it is probably a 5 out of 5 for Copenhagen’s Gay Bars.

Men’s Bar

Men’s Bar is Copenhagen’s Men’s Only gay bar.  They are basically the leather and S&M bar for Copenhagen’s gay men.  It is their version of the Eagle and they actually have ads up for the Eagle in other cities.

The crowd is mixed instead of just leather and bears and the staff and customers are extremely friendly and personable.  They get everything from Twinks to Bears and Jocks to overweight alcoholics.  It is a good time but be careful in the side room next to the bar, if you look at the bars they all have glory holes in them so I am pretty sure when they night ends you have a great shot (pun intended) at having a good time.  Men’s Bar gets a 4 out of 5 from me based on the friendliness of the customers, the bar staff and the drinks.

I went to a bunch of other bars and clubs while I was in Gay Copenhagen but I am getting really tired.  Copenhagen in an amazing city and extremely gay friendly.  It is a perfect stop for a gay honeymoon in Europe and perfect for gay travel and gay vacations.  Make sure you try a Carlsburg beer as well when you are there since that is their local beer and they are extremely proud of it.

Gay Copenhagen Denmark gets a 5 out of 5 from me and I never give that type of rating to a city unless it really is worth it.

Gay Malmo Sweden, Lesbians You’ll Love This!

So I’m in Malmo Sweden for a work thing and unfortunately got Food Poisening while I was in London earlier this week.  However, even with food poisoning I could not let you all down without at least one review and since london is simply going to take at least a cocktail or ten and a million hours writing about how fabulous it was and how I am completely ready to move there, I figured I would write about Malmo and post the pictures when I get back to the US.

So Gay Malmo Sweden.

Gay Malmo Sweden is an absolutely amazing city.  Not only is it the third largest city in Sweden, but it also boasts gay marriage, gay friendly establishments and it seems like everyone here, regardless of religion loves the gays.  They are all happy to help you find gay bars, no one looks at you funny if you are holding another man or woman’s hand and best yet, they don’t think twice about helping you find some gay nightlife in Malmo Sweden.

So here is my rundown of what to do in Gay Malmo Sweden.

Gay Friendly Hotels in Sweden:

The Mayfair Hotel formerly known as Tunnel or Tunnelen.  (I know, I completely thought of Tunnel in NYC too and knew it had to be fabulous).

The Mayfair hotel in Malmo Sweden is absolutely fabulous.  Not only is the hottest, most popular and trendy gay bar in the entire city pretty much next to it (Wonk), but when I asked the front desk lady for directions to a Gay Bar Malmo Sweden, she told me to head to my room if I wanted.  When I was walking up the spiral staircase I saw her jump online and not only did she start Googling to find gay bars in Malmo Sweden, but she printed them out, made recommendations for gay men, lesbians and mixed crowds but also pre arranged can service to and from the hotel and thanked me because she had never been asked before and enjoyed the challenge.  It was amazing.  She even looked up what events were happening tonight and tomorrow night and said if I stayed one more I could get to attend a huge party.  Just like the rest of the staff at the Mayfair hotel, they really go out of their way for their guests.

So onto the details of the Mayfair Hotel in Malmo Sweden.

Not only is the Mayfair Hotel in Malmo Sweden a Gay Friendly Hotel, it was built in the 1300′s for storing product for merchants….drag queens get medieval hair salon out of your heads…the only weave around back then was a scalped head and unless you are going to a blood ball that is just nasty.  Now it is the breakfast lounge and a restaurant called TBone.  The rooms at first look like tiny apartments with antique furniture, but when you lay on the bed and feel the amazing mattress pads as well as watch your bang an olfson tv, you will be in luxury.  The stone countertops in the bathroom are stunning as well.  Heck, Jill Zaran from the real housewives of New York City on Bravo even stayed here, her autographed picture is on the wall in the hallway on the second floor.

This hotel has over 700 years of history which is even quotes on their in room stationary that is complimentary (at least was for me) and ask you walk the hallways of this amazing building you will think you are in a private collection or a museum.  The Mayfair Hotel is 100% gay friendly from the piano bar to the staff to the guests and everything around.  I completely give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

Gay Bars Malmo Sweden.

The Gay Bars in Malmo Sweden are nothing short of fabulous…lesbian fabulous.  Unfortunately for me everywhere I went it was gorgeous Swede after gorgeous Swede.  When I finally made it to my first gay bar I saw a couple tables of hot Swedish Men, not a person here is even remotely ugly….it is seriously scary,  and then more and more people started to arrive.  Unfortunately they were all lesbians…hot ones from lipstick to bull dyke but still Lesbians.  This carried true through the entire night so Lesbians, if you love your gorgeous Swedish Fish, and not the candy, then Gay Malmo Sweden is the place for you.

Balthazar

Balthazar nightclub and bar has or hosts a gay night called Dream Factory.  I can’t remember the Swedish word for it.  It features loungy house music but not blaring, a raver styled bar tender staff and cliquey people who are sort of stuck up.  Not at all like the rest of the Swedes.  The drinks run about $10 to $12 US and are made around medium to fairly strong depending on your tolerance but the beer is cheap.  Again catering to the lesbians.  They also feature a wide selection of shots including one called death which is a layered drink with tequila on top and Kahlua or Baily’s Irish Cream on the bottom.  The bar was ok, small and cramped, the people were cliquey but also college aged so you’d expect it but the bar staff was amazing and really friendly and the DJ did a nice job.  I give it a 3 for 5.

Wonk Gay Bar Malmo Sweden

Wonk recently moved to right by the Mayfair Hotel.  Not only is it named after the drag queen that owns it, but the drag queen who owns it is credited to have create and really brought gay life and gay politics to Sweden.  It is above and beyond a local favorite and even the straight people love it.  Drag Queens get in free I believe and you will love having fun, dancing and getting drunk off of their amazing mix of cocktails and hot Swedes everywhere.  Wonk is the nightlife of Malmo Sweden so if you don’t like it then go to Copenhagen Denmark…..seriously go to Copenhagen Denmark,,,it is fabulous and they have a gay bar that has been an openly gay bar for around 90 years!  But if you want to stay and part in Gay Malmo Sweden at Malmo Sweden’s Best Gay Bar, Wonk is the gay bar to go to.

Tomboy.

Lesbian bar.  I don’t think I need to go into detail.  Lots of lesbians, all hot, all Swedish.  Have fun ladies.

Malmo Sweden is probably one of the most gay friendly cities I have ever seen.  They love the gays, love the gay people and love having us around.  If you have never been or never heard of it and are going to go to Europe or Northern Europe it is worth a stop.  It has been around for hundreds of years, is very open minded and you will fall in love with the city just as much as I did.

I will definitely be back if I ever get the chance to come here.  Malmo Sweden gets a 3 out of 5 stars from me.  The reason it didn’t get 4 or 5 out of 5 is because it is a bit smaller than I like (250,000 people) and because since everyone is gorgeous I felt a bit out of place.  Sure it is American insecurity but it really does matter to me.  Then again I had an amazing time so in reality, if I ever wanted a place to go to to relax and have fun and not be around anyone I know, Malmo is the place I would go.  It gets a 5 out of 5 where cities that I love like London, Rome, Toronto only get a 4.  Malmo is amazing and a must for any gay traveler.  Definitely check out Gay Malmo Sweden if you are planning your gay European vacation.
