Go Go Slippers – The solution to long nights in high heels
Last night I saw a commercial for a brand new infomercial product that helps to solve an old issue. The product is called Go Go Slippers and to be honest the solution is so simple that I am amazed no one had thought of them before. They roll up neatly into a small bag that fits into your clutch or purse and are able to be slipped on and off during the night. You might be asking yourself why this is a solution to anything but in reality they are actually more like a dream come true to anyone who has ever had to wear high heels for a long period of time.
Ladies, Drag Queens, Pageant Models, Women and Girls who have gone to Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and everyone else who has ever had to wear high heels for long periods of time know how much high heels can hurt your feet. They have all also at one point or another removed their heels or wanted to remove their heels to give their feet a break but at the same time don’t want to have to put their feet on dirty floors or be seen without something that at least looks like a shoe if the photographer is around. All you need to do is buy a few pairs of satin or silk or regular ballet slippers. Then you just need to buy the spray paint shoe polish in whatever color will match your outfits and spray the ballet shoes. Then when they dry use a fixative on them so they don’t stain everything and you now have comfortable dress show colored and styled ballet shoes to give your feet a break from having to wear high heels all night. Go Go Slippers are an awesome idea and the commercial was a great way for me to brainstorm how to help bring them to you all to help with your high heel foot pain issues. I saw gogo slippers for sale here but they may not be available for long and you had to preorder them so if you really want a pair and cannot find them anywhere, try making your own gogo slippers by spraying ballet shoes with metallic colored shoe polishes and fixatives to keep the color on them. I love gogo slippers and think that if you have ever had to have worn high heels for a long time you will love them too.

Well, I flew to Florida to visit a client and on the way back there was a flu shot stand at the airport and with H1N1 finally just about done, I almost stopped and got a flu shot, but figured there are other people that could use one more than me so I passed it up. At least tea works for me for most of the time and actually I need to go to the store and buy some tonight.

Cookie Surprises Wedding Baskets and Cookie Gifts. The Perfect Wedding Invitation and Gift!
The other week I had a friend get sick and ended up sending him some flowers and gave a call. It sort of reminded me when I was younger and I would always catch the flu or break an arm or end up getting hurt somehow doing something stupid or get the flu because I used to love to play when it rained outside in the rain. Flower girl flower baskets – Perfect Baskets for All Weddings
So I realized, I haven’t posted anything or at least not that much for the flower girls. So, in honor of the flower girl, I’d like my first post to be recommending some fabulous flower girl baskets to hold the flowers and petals.
One thing I love about flower baskets is that there are soo many varities and soo many different designs. Also, the flower girls almost always end up loving them and never wanting to let them go so you don’t have to worry about them forgetting it, dropping it or even just tossing it away somewhere. My sister just got married a couple months ago and at her wedding, my niece was soo cute. She loved her flower basket soo much that after she would throw the petals, she would then go pick them back up and put them right back into the flower petal basket again. She also never set her flower basket down one time during the ceremony. It just goes to show that perfect accessories are never out of style no matter what your age is.
Anyways, I think some of the most important things to remember when selecting your flower girl basket are to:
1. Match it to the ring bearer’s pillow.
2. Make sure it matches your wedding theme.
3. It shoudl compliment your dress.
4. Be light enough for anyone of any age to be able to carry, yet have enough space to hold enough petals.
5. Make sure the basket isn’t too big for the flower girl to carry.

So while thinking about how to kick off April posts and idea updates I figured why not recommend some of my favorite Bridal Shower Gifts and Bridal Shower Party Favors. I think for this post I am going to make it easy for you all and recommend some of my favorites from the same store so you don’t have to search and shop all over the internet to find the perfect bridal shower gifts or go idea shopping. So this first idea that I love to recommend giving out to your bridemaids at your bridal shower is the personalized bridesmaid picture frame. Now, if you are like most brides, you may not be able to have all your friends and family be bridesmaids in your wedding, but why limit their fun or let them feel left out? This is another one that is fantastic if you are the healthy living or fitness crowd. It is personalized Yoga bags for the entire bridal and bridesmaids party. It is a fabulous bridal shower gift and it also helps to encourage fitness and health, not to mention helps to ensure that your maid of honor forces your *ss to the gym so that you fit into your dress or tux on your wedding day. I love the personalized yoga bags and thing it is a great thing to share with the wedding party and a perfect reminder to go to the gym and loose those couple extra pounds to be in absolutely perfect shape for your wedding! Not that curvy and plump is a bad thing, Yoga doesn’t just have to be about loosing weight, it can also be a way to maintain your weight so that you fit perfectly into the perfect outfit you will be fitted or have been fitted for for your big day.
Here is a unique one and oddly enough always a hit at bridal showers….especially if you have a bridezilla brida and need an escape or way to deal with her on her big day. Hell it is also perfect for the anxiety ridden bride or overly nervous bride. It is the pink leather engraved flask. It screams girly or even gay and I love this thing and wish more people would give it a try.
You can have the brides initials monogrammed onto this flask or you can have the link leather engraved flasks monogrammed with all of the lovely ladies and gentlemen at the bridal showers initials on their own so it becomes even more of a custom engraving. As I said, I love the pink leather engraved flasks and think that it is not only functional and unique, but it also makes a great prop and talking piece for everyone at your bridal shower. Hint Hint, Maid of Honor,,,,you may very well need this so I would strongly recommend buying one for yourself at least for the big day.
How about this for a fabulous way to stay warm or go do something adventurous with the girls. I always loved the idea of doing your bridal shower like a spa day where you start out at your house with all the girls having mimosas and bloody mary’s while you wait for a giant stretch limo to pick you up for a full day at the spa or the health club. You are supposed to be 100% relaxed for a spa day and so I love the idea of ordering custom embroidered hoodies for each of the girls with your name and the year on the back. The picture to the left shows Just Married but you could change it to (Your Name) Bridal Takeover or Bridal Shower rampage 2009, etc… That way when you hit the spa like a ton of bricks you are doing it as a team. The custom embroidered hoodies are also perfect if it is going to be chilly, if you rent a beach house for the weekend or do your bridal party in another city. They look hot and you all can travel as a group and show off the blushing bride to be in style on your way to Vega or Cancun or wherever you are hosting your Brdial Party.
Cheesy and Lame but fun at the same time. It is bridal shower bingo and the set comes with 21 bingo cards, you can always order a second set if you need to, although I think that would make two people win at the same time maybe?
This is your classic bingo game with all the bingo pieces and for some reason a black center,,,but hey whatever. You have tuxedos and glasses and brides and grooms and all other types of fun symbols to call on instead of the numbers you may be used to hearing in normal bingo. It is a fun and fabulous way to entertain your guests and pass some time at your bridal shower and party.
I want to finish this off with something so fabulous I just can’t say enough about them. They are the wine cork candle set of 4. These candles are just sooo flipping cool and unique and original. Everyone loves wine and wine says class, fun, relaxation, romance and soo much more so why not step wine up another notch and give away wine cork candle sets to your guests and even buy a few for yourself for your honeymoon night.
