I guess I’m a really bad Jew because not only do I have an obsession with bacon, but I also have an obsession with bacon gifts and giving bacon christmas gifts for the holidays to my non Jewish friends. If you try to fill the mold and then stick it in your freezer, the sculpture will break, and no one wants a broken pen*s. Instead, everyone recommends you create the penis ice sculpture and shot luge in three steps.

What you do is fill the mold 1/3 of the way full. Then when it is completely frozen you fill the next 1/3. Once that is frozen then you do the final 1/3 of the penis shaped shot luge. Then when you’re ready for the party, simply remove the mold and you’ll be ready to go. I highly recommend trying to create it one or two times before the party so you have practice and won’t ruin it on the day,,,since it takes a while to free this mold and build the sculpture. You’ll also have a reason to have a drink or two after work if you practice building this sculpture which is a definite good thing as well. I don’t currently have the penis shaped ice sculpture or penis ice shot luge, but I am going to be ordering it for my friends Bachelorette party in a few months and cannot wait to try it out and show it off at the party.

With beach season here I am on a serious diet. Three Olives Lemon Lime “The Dewd” Vodka Drink Recipes

So last weekend I was in Philadelphia PA to get away from DC for a weekend and I met the nicest person. His name was Nick Dellavella and he is a rep. for Three Olives Vodka. If you can’t tell by reading this and my other blogs you’ll know that I am 100% an Absolute girl and never give other vodkas a chance anymore. Anyways, Nick was very cute and friendly and convinced me to give three olives a try, including the brand new Three Olives “The Dewd” lemon lime vodka. Here’s what happened.

Not only did I end up over doing it and drinking Three Olives Vodka all night, I woke up without a hangover too! That is exactly why I also go straight to Absolute instead of Stoli, Grey Goose or Belvedere. They all leave me feeling like crap the next day. For some reason Absolute never did and after drinking Three Olives Vodka for two nights in a row, it left me feeling great in the morning. I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. The flavors come through very strong so you don’t really need mixers and you can blend them in with almost anything which is why I came up with a few Three Olives Lemon Lime Vodka cocktails that I wanted to share with all of you. Please remember that alcohol can be dangerous and is illegal for people under 21 in the USA so please drink responsibly if you try these drinks. I know I will be drinking them responsibly tonight!

The Three Olives Lemon Lime Sake Cucumber Martini.

This drink is absolutely to die for. What I do is I freeze a martini glass so it gets that fabulous frosty look on the glass. Then I chill saki, add in the Three Olives Lemon Lime Vodka and a little splash of soda water (The soda water is if you don’t like it strong). Then I shake the martini shaker and pour into the glass. To garnish it I take a cucumber wheel and I float it in the martini. I also take a second one and lay it over the side of the martini glass. This drink is amazing with dinner, fish, sushi, some chicken and for fun with the girls. I love it because its salty from the saki, sweet and sour from the vodka and light and fresh from the cucumber.

Lemon Lime Three Olives Sangria

This is now one of my favorite cocktails to make. What I do is take a bottle of melony chardonnay, Three Olives Lemon Lime Dewd Vodka and honeydew and cantaloupe melons. 24 hours before you need the drink, scoop out balls of honeydew and cantaloupe. Now put them in a glass and pour lemon lime vodka into the glasses. Now refridgerate for 12 hours and then place in the freezer for 12. Now take a large pitcher and pour your wine into it. Take the frozen melon balls and drop a few in. (You can also freeze peaches and drop them in to for extra flavor and fun). Now take a few more of the frozen lemon lime vodka balls and place them in the serving cups. Now you have a fun and fruity version of sangria to serve to friends.

Lemon Lime Soda

This is a simple and extremely low calorie cocktail. Take your Three Olives Lemon Lime Dewd Vodka and pour 2 ozs. into a glass over ice. Now fill the rest of the glass with soda water (calorie free) and top with a lemon and a lime wheel. You now have a refreshing and tasty lemon lime soda that you can drink at the bar.

I’ve fallen in love with Three Olives vodka thanks to Nick Dellavella. I have a few more Three Olives Vodka drink recipes, but they will have to wait for another day. I can’t wait to share my slushy cocktail recipes and lemon lime belini with you as well. I’ll probably post them after Labor Day when I have my friends try them in Rehoboth Beach.

Buy Bake Pops As Seen On TV Here. Bake Pops Recipes.

I just saw a commercial for Bake Pops as seen on tv. Bake Pops are basically the same exact thing as the bride and groom brownie pops that I had recommended a few years ago and still love. The difference between the Bake Pops as seen on tv cake lollipops maker and the brownie pops are that you get to make your own. They are basically the same things you see at starbucks but now you can create your own flavors, toppings and designs. Here are a few of my favorite ideas when creating Bake Pops as seen on tv cake lollipop pans.

Wedding Pops – I would use these for bridal showers, grooms parties, in the dressing room for the bride and groom. What I would do is make the bake pops in the bakepop pan and then take the circular cake ball and roll it through a whipped cream icing. (The reason I am not using buttercream is that it is their wedding day and I don’t want them to feel weighted down. Whipped cream icing is light and easy to eat). Then I would take a block of white chocolate and a block of dark chocolate and then use a vege or potatoe peeler to make chocolate curls and shavings. Then take the cake ball and place the shavings and curls all over them and you have gorgeous black and white cake pops and bake pops for your wedding.

Adult Bake Pops – This is a fun one. Make a very alcohol rich rum cake so that you can still take the alcohol. Now, pour the batter into the cake bakepops pan and bake it. Now make a buttercream or whipped cream icing with Kahlua in it. Stick the sticks into the cake balls and then ice them with the Kahlua cream. For an extra touch of fun, use a candied orange peel over the center like a belt.

Labor Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day American Bakepops – This is simple. I would make a white cake and drop little red white and blue sprinkles into the batter. Then I would use a white butter cream for the icing and drop star shaped red white and blue candies on them. Sprinkles work too.

Valentines day bakepops. These cake pops are amazing. Use a dark and rich red velvet cake batter and do a white chocolate icing with red food coloring to dye it red. Then use red heart shaped candies or cinnamon dot candies or chocolate sprikles on them to make a rich, dark and chocolaty valentines bakeoppos cakepops treat for you and your lover.

Summertime Cakepops. This is one of my favorite. Do a lemon batter with lemon icing, your pick on the type and then after you place the stick and ice them, shave a lemon with a grater so you get lemon zest for decoration on the top. You can also do this with oranges and then refrigerate them. Now you have amazing cake pop recipes for the summer that are cooling and refreshing and more importantly, delicious.

The as seen on tv bakepop pan makes cake pops easily. By using the cake pops recipes I provided above, but using your own batter recipes, you and your friends will enjoy cakepops recipes and treats all summer and year round. I absolutely love the bakepop pan because everywhere you go people charge way to much for cake pops. The thing I love about cake pops are they are small enough to help you not overeat your portions of cake and fun enough to be able to make and show off at parties. If you’ve been following this blog then you know I am a complete foodie and love to have everything food. One thing that I always love as well is to be able to incorporate food into my Valentine’s Days and Nights for my partner. Of course we do the stereotypical dinner out, if its his year, or I cook an awesome meal in if its my year, but one thing that always gets him going is in the bedroom when it comes time for Valentines Night. The one thing that I always have or do is bring food into it and make it romantic. Some years I use candles and candle wax, others blindfolds, but this year it is all about taste and hot and cold. (He doesn’t know about this blog which is why I am sharing). Here is what we are doing this year to have a Sexy, Romantic Valentines Day with Food and in the Bedroom. (Don’t worry, I’m not going into details, just sharing some ideas of the things we’ll be using and you may want to use.)

Red Women's Aprong for Valentines Day

The first thing to do for Valentines is to figure out how to present yourself. Since this year is going to be about food and taste in the bedroom, I am going to wear nothing but an apron. If you’re female or male, the apron shop that you may want to look at is Flirty Aprons. I have a link to my favorite red sassy apron on the image to the left which is probably one of their best selling womens aprons for valentines day. They also carry Men’s aprons for valentines day which is what I’ll be wearing. I’ll then show up to the bedroom where my partner will be waiting wearing either nothing, or possibly candy underpants or edible underpants, but we’ll get to those later and I’ll give you a link to where you can buy candy underpants, candy necklace bras and everything else including candy pasties.

When I show up to the room I am going to be carrying a tray filled with Fresh whipped whip cream, you can use store bought, strawberries that have the tops cut off so they have a flat surface, chocolate body paint and a few mixed berries for extra flavors. Not to get to into details but a few ways to use these are to line them down your partners body from their chest to their lower parts and rotate between strawberry and whipped cream. You can then eat your way down or also pick them up with your mouth and feed them to your partner.

The next thing that will be predone before hand is under the apron I’ll have used the chocolate body paint on certain areas that I think my partner should need to clean off. This is a romantic way to ensure that your partner knows exactly which areas to focus on so that both of you can have a fun valentines day. You can also use the chocolate body paint to paint your partner and make usual fun a bit more fun by adding a delicious chocolate to the bedroom.

The Washington DC Food Show and Wedding Gifts

Today I went to the Washington DC food show, the main pull was getting to see Paula Dean the Butter Queen Live…bastards wouldn’t let me take pictures, and secondly the fact that I absolutely love food and get to try a million and one different new sauces, desserts, watch people cook and teach how to cook as well.

I not only got to see new things like this one company which was cooking meats on slabs of salt in rock form, but I also got to try the meats that they were cooking. I had heard of using stones to make pizza and firing rocks to heat bread or even cook bacon on. I had heard of people using giant slabs of rock salt to grill and cook meat on before but I had never actually gotten to see it in person. When I was walking by their booth at the show the smells of the meats and the salts were above and beyond incredible. Just looking at the meats cook and smelling them then tasting how great they were was enough to almost get me to buy the slabs of rock salt for grilling and cooking. The thing that stopped me though was the fact that I would have had to carry them through the rest of the show and then carry them home which I was definitely not up for. I did however take a short video of them and asked them for the url at the end of it. These slabs of rock salt are absolutely perfect for wedding gifts.

After eating that man’s salty meat,,,ok I couldn’t resist, I needed something sweet as well which is when I came across the most amazing idea and incredible woman on earth. Gia Michaels.

Gia Michaels is probably one of my new heroes…and yes she did give me a free sample to take home (sticks tounge out at you). Not only did she combine a ton of types of mini chocolate chips with crushed heath bars and crunchy things, but she also threw in peanut butter, chocolate covered pretzels and everything else that is sweet, salty and good into a small jar and named it Gourmet Garbage. FunniBonz BBQ Sauce

Another booth that I wanted to share with you all was this fantastic guy who had a great story. He used to have a sales job I think but ended up quitting because that company just wasn’t for him. Instead he discovered that he could create a series of BBQ Sauces that are not only delicious but can sell extremely well. Within 2 and a half years of quitting his real job, he now has a BBQ sauce empire and over 2,000 grocery stores carry his sauces. The sauce is called FunniBonz BBQ Sauce and it is amazing. I tried the original, the spicy and he also has a Chipotle. Now they weren’t the best in the show but they were pretty damn good and I ended up coming home with a bottle of the spicy. This next lady didn’t need anything like a giant tradeshow booth or fancy corporate clothing. Instead she actually prefers not to use those as she doesn’t need it. No fancy packaging no anything but good old fashion love in her food. She made probably the best Vanilla Bean and Vanilla Buttercream cake I have ever eaten. It wasn’t fancy, there was no gimmic, just her and her friend slicing the most amazing vanilla bean and vanilla buttercream cake I have ever eaten. When you have love for food and it shows you don’t need anything else. When I get married, if she is around to make that vanilla cake, guess what she is who I am going to for my wedding cake. There were a ton of other highlights at the Washington DC Food show but I need to go get dinner ready. Thank you to all of the vendors who took time to talk to me and for a few of them who even gave me samples to take home. The Washington DC Food Show was amazing and I highly recommend it. It is a bit pricey at $25 a person but when you get to taste all of the amazing foods and also get to watch and learn how to cook from some of the most famous and friendly Food Network Star Chefs, the $25 admission is completely worth it.

Tea Gifts, Tea Presents, Tea Wedding Gifts

One thing that I hate about the seasons changing is the fact that I always get the flu. It happens a few times each year. Usually around mid october, once around new years and again in the spring when it starts to get warm out. For some reason my body hates when the seasons start to change and its reaction is usually a flu with a fever. On a good note though it does make it so that I get to drink more tea and because I have met a ton of other people who get seasonal flus as well, it also makes it so that I can give tea gifts away as a thinking of you or get well soon gift as well.

My addiction to tea started because of a small tea shop in Chicago on Broadway. I went in hoping they would have had an espresso machine so I could order a white chocolate mocha but instead they said they hadn’t bought one yet. They handed me a tea menu and I found a black currant tea that was not only amazing, but it also gave me a perfect caffeine fix without the jitters because it was a much less amount, or at least felt like a smaller amount. The black currant tea was not only perfect for me, but I ended up buying it as a gift for a few other tea lovers that I worked with. From then on I have been hooked on tea but I usually forget to buy it until flu season comes around and when it does you’ll always be able to find tea in my house and most people end up getting tea gifts or tea pots and accessories or tea gift sets from me when I have the flu. The funny thing is that I thought it would be hard to convert coffee drinkers into tea drinkers but when a coffee drinker tries tea that you pick out for them because you think it will match their particular taste, it is a lot easier to get them to change over, at least part of the time. My personal favorite teas and tea gifts are black teas with fruit flavors, peppermint tea with orange infused honey and vanilla tea mixed with caramel and regular or flavored honey.

Tea gifts are not only fun and fabulous but you can buy and give out tea gifts as tea wedding gifts, tea birthday gifts or you can really give out tea gifts for just about any occasion. I personally love giving out food gifts and tea gifts fall high on that list.
