I was watching Glee reruns the other day and it was the episode where Mr. Shoe was helping the school shrink, Emma, learn to ballroom dance for her wedding. I love that episode because not only do we get to sing I could have danced all night, but we also get to watch Will make a mashup of two songs that don’t really go together.

The thing that I love the most about the learn to dance ballroom DVDs is that you get to do it in the privacy of your own home. Believe it or not, not every gay guy or woman has grace or rhythm. Because no one has to see you guys practicing, there is no embarrassing moments with friends finding you at a class. You can go through all of the DVDs with your partner and by the time you are ready to get married, the two of you will be able to ballroom dance like professionals and impress everyone at your wedding. The key thing to remember is that the DVDs can only do so much. You have to constantly practice, use a mirror or video camera to watch yourself and also go through the entire learn to ballroom dance dvd series. If this is anything like the other learn to dvds which a few of my friends have used, I fully recommend it. I do have to be honest and say I have never personally tried the Learn to Ballroom Dance DVDs. Fall Wedding Invitations

Something that I love even more than fall wedding table decorations like leaves and vines are the fall wedding invitations. Not only do your fall wedding invitations help to create the look and feel for your fall wedding, but they also help to let everyone know how to plan for your wedding.

Unlike Summer weddings where everyone needs to wear light clothes, fall weddings and fall wedding clothing needs to be carefully planned depending on where you live and if your wedding is in early or late fall. For early fall you can wear light coats, shawls and fur stoles. For late fall weddings you go into trench coats, vintage styled clothing and you wear full length fur coats over fabulous vintage styled clothing. The thing about your wedding invitation is that it is a more important card than your save the date card because it is the one that not only announces you and your partner but also your wedding and date and the theme and colors.

Unlike Summer or Spring weddings, fall wedding invitations don’t have to match your wedding colors or themes. You can use fall and autumn colors and you can bring in nature like branches or leaves and gorgeous browns and reds and yellows. You can have off white backgrounds and colors in your fall wedding invitations and you can also incorporate your own fonts instead of traditional fonts. Fall wedding invitations are unique because they not only don’t have to follow your traditional wedding invitations with ribbons and birds but you can use images like branches, vines, leaves and other things that remind people of fall. The one thing you have to remember though is to include how to dress so that if you have an early fall wedding people know to wear an outfit that is light enough so they don’t sweat and if you are having a late fall wedding than you should tell them to dress warm because it can be cold in late fall. With the down economy and people scaling back, one trend the wedding industry has seen is that people are starting to get married in their own homes or at friends homes. Backyards become seating areas with an altar and living rooms become buffets and social centers. Kitchens become catering shops and bedrooms become closets and coatrooms. People’s houses transform to create the perfect place for a wedding but one thing that many brides and grooms forget about are the wedding photos with a gorgeous and elegant backdrop that most homes cannot provide.

Outdoor and resort weddings like gorgeous backgrounds with the beach or golf courses. Luxury hotels use stair cases and gorgeous antique architecture and unfortunately most of us just don’t have that in our homes so many people either have to settle for a simple curtain or they try to find something local in a park. I recently came across a site called Decorative Ceiling Tiles and Decorative Ceiling Tiles game me a complete solution to the issue of what to do to be able to have a wedding in your own home or a friends home and to not have to miss out on the gorgeous wedding backgrounds and back drops.

On the Decorative Ceiling Tiles website they show a picture of a backdrop that they created. They took decorative styrofoam ceiling tiles and hand painted them with what looks like a purple paint. Not only did the decorative styrofoam ceiling tiles look amazing when they were finished being painted, but then decorative ceiling tiles stacked them on top of each other to essentially create the perfect elegant background and back drop for photographs. Now imagine taking some of their fabulous styrofoam ceiling tiles and painting them white with gold accents or white with silver accents. Or how about white with your wedding color for the accents or even just silver with a solid look. Not only will it look amazing for a wedding, but if you throw in a curtain, your wedding arch or even some other props you have now created an absolutely gorgeous and amazing wedding background that not only is inexpensive but can be moved around so you can have it in your house and then take it down.
